Compassionate Psychology – local psychology with caring & understanding.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is non-judgemental, interactive, warm and empathic. It is informed by the specific needs of each particular client I see.
I have experience and training in a range of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, narrative therapy, Gestalt therapy and a number of psychodynamic approaches. I have a strong commitment to respecting what each client brings to the therapeutic relationship.
I have extensive experience in facilitating therapeutic groups and providing adult education and training. My therapeutic and personal practice is strongly informed by Buddhist principles of ethics, self-awareness and compassion for self and others. I am dedicated to providing a caring, professional and skilled service.
